2月10日 Farewell MomOur entire family has gathered in Phoenix to say good-bye to our dear Mom. Everyone arrived last evening and through our sadness we are glad to be together. Dad is holding up pretty well and is very comforted by us being here and all of the calls and emails he is receiving from his relatives and friends.
We are following the Jewish custom of Shiva. We do not receive flowers, but instead ask that contributions are made to the organizations listed below. During Shiva we sit for 7 days and 6 nights in our homes honoring the memory of our loved one. The mourners (immediate family) do not wear shoes, extend greetings (hello or good-bye) or answer the door. We look forward to sharing stories and warm memories of Mom. For our friends who are not Jewish, Mom would have been so happy that you are sharing and learning about our customs.
We will all sit Shiva together in Phoenix through Wednesday morning. On Wednesday morning, Dad and Michele will go back to Orange Couny, California, Brenda will go back to Seattle, and Scott will go back to San Diego to conclude Shiva which will end on Sunday. Details for shiva in each of our hometowns are below so that our friends can join us in honoring Mom.
Please continue to check this website as details could change. Thank you.

Larry, Michele, Brenda, Scott, Steve, Gabby, Nathan, Jenna, Jessica and Eve 2月9日 Mom the GreatLast night we learned the sad news that we lost our beautiful mother, who we loved dearly. She left us peacefully with Dad by her side. She faced this final battle with courage and bravery that most people don't possess. She will be missed terribly, but she will always live on in our hearts. Details about services for Mom will be posted here on the website as we have them. We should have all of the details in place by Sunday morning, and will put everything on the blog at that time. Dad seems like he is ok, and we are all on our way to see him now. Feel free to call us if you need more info: Michele 949-633-6444 Brenda 425-281-8846 We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support that you have given our family during this tragic time in our lives. With much love, Michele, Brenda, Scott 2月8日 Friday NoonI spoke with Mom and Dad about an hour ago. Mom is really just listening now. Dad sounds weary and sad. I am planning to head over to Phoenix later today or early tomorrow morning--I have not yet heard what Brenda and Scott's plans are. Mom is not eating anymore. We will continue to post on the website.
Please keep our family close in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time--especially my Dad.
As always, thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and support.
Love,
Michele 2月6日 Wednesday AfternoonI just spoke with Mom and Dad. They were outside getting some fresh air. Mom is getting very difficult to understand because she is so weak, but Dad says that she recognizes our voices and she loves to hear from us. I was worried that it would be frustrating to her if we don't understand her but he said that it's not. Dad read her all of the messages from the blog this morning and that she enjoyed hearing them. We will continue to fax them over.
Thanks for checking in on the blog, and posting.
